The ban restrictions may cost heavy losses to both countries as it will affect international trade between them, it’s so obvious Nigerians love travelling to Dubai for business, medicals, and tourism. They may not be able to participate this Christmas. The Chairman of the PSC and Secretary to the Government Federation (SGF), Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, said: “While each country is entitled to put in place measures to protect its citizens, Nigeria has similar responsibilities. However, based on existing relationships, Nigeria has initiated diplomatic steps to make these countries reverse their course. This is ongoing in the interest of all parties concerned and we expect that positive results would emerge within the next one week.”
The Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika and the Secretary to the Government Federation (SGF), Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, said that, “the PSC also evaluated the development on the relationship between Nigeria and United Arab Emirates(UAE) “and we are pleased to inform you that the position of the Federal Government is in line with established ICAO Protocols and the spirit of the BASA signed with the UAE“.

The Vice-President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Adeshola Kayode, also said that, “We have lost millions, clients have started requesting refunds and some of these tickets are not refundable and for those that have refunds, it will take time to process,” he said.
