Thursday: The Taliban have captured a police headquarters in a provincial capital in southern Afghanistan. This is coming after the Taliban have seized nine provincial capital in the country. The resurgence of the Taliban comes within days of the allied forces withdrawing from the country. 

Taliban takes over Police Headquarters in Southern Afghanistan.

The president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani is presently making a last-ditch attempt to save his country and inevitably his regime. This as analyst project the capital Kabul might fall into the hands of the Taliban within the next 90 days.

President Biden however stated in a recent interview that he did not regret his action of fully withdrawing from the troubled country. This comes as the US military is doing all it can by pounding Taliban strongholds in the Northern part of the country.
